Cash App founder’s murder case- suspect’s sister appears in court to tell full story before the crime_2

This week, Khazar Momeni, the sister of Nima Momeni, who is accused in the murder case of Cash App founder Bob Lee, continued her testimony in court, providing some of the most detailed accounts related to the case thus far.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Khazar recounted her first encounter with Jeremy Boivin, who is alleged to be a drug dealer, on the morning of April 3rd last year. She stated that Bob Lee and Boivin arrived at her apartment in Millennium Tower with a large canister of nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas,” and a bottle of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), often referred to as a “date-rape drug.”

Khazar noted that Bob Lee left her apartment shortly after arriving. She later returned to Boivin’s apartment on South Market Street with him, where they used more drugs, including GHB and the hallucinogen LSD. At some point, Bob Lee brought another friend, Bo Mohazzabi, to join them for drug use.

Recalling the events, Khazar said that after Bob Lee and Mohazzabi left, and her friend Aranza Villegas joined, Boivin injected GHB into her, causing her to lose consciousness. When she woke up, she realized she had been sexually assaulted by Boivin. In a state of confusion, she eventually reached out to her brother Nima, who came to take her back to his apartment.

Upon returning to Millennium Tower, Bob Lee visited again that night and gave Khazar a bottle of ketamine while Nima was present. When prosecutors asked Khazar whether she had any sexual relations with Bob Lee, she denied it but mentioned that Bob Lee’s behavior that weekend seemed a bit “off.”

The Chronicle pointed out that one of the crucial pieces of testimony from Mohazzabi last week was that after Nima went to Boivin’s place to retrieve Khazar, he had made a phone call to Bob Lee in an “interrogative” tone, inquiring about what transpired at Boivin’s home and what drugs Khazar had taken.

During her initial court appearance, Khazar stated that Nima did not kill Bob Lee, despite the defense arguing that Nima acted in self-defense when he fatally stabbed Lee.

Khazar reflected on the last interaction she witnessed between her brother and Bob Lee, describing it as friendly. Bob Lee had shown Nima a picture of a girl he was interested in, and they had discussed whether to visit a strip club, with Nima even helping Bob Lee put on his shoes.

However, after leaving her apartment with Bob Lee, Nima called Khazar, saying, “The night didn’t go as planned.” She felt that this was just a matter between her brother and Bob Lee, so she didn’t press for details on what had happened. Khazar firmly asserted that before her brother’s arrest, she had no clue about what he had done.
