The Tai Chi Sports and Wellness Association is gearing up to celebrate a significant milestone – the 23rd anniversary of its Cupertino dojo and the first anniversary of its Santa Clara dojo. This special event, titled “Joyful Life: Cultivating Energy for Health,” is set for October 6 at 1:30 PM at the Santa Clara dojo, located at 5155 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95051. Attendees can look forward to an exciting lineup of performances, including a dragon dance and traditional drumming, alongside health seminars that emphasize holistic well-being through Tai Chi principles. The association warmly invites community members to be a part of this joyous celebration.
One of the highlights of the event will be presentations by Dr. Lyu Huanyi, a renowned practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Taiwan, who has deep roots in the Tai Chi community. He will discuss the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and Qi Gong, offering insights on how to “Strengthen Muscles and Bones, Bidding Farewell to Pain and Discomfort.” In addition to Dr. Lyu, special guest Zhang Yiran, a visual effects artist from Hollywood, will share his inspiring journey in the film industry.
The event aims to showcase cultural symbols of harmony, featuring performances by the Tai Chi youth and younger disciples, exhilarating dance routines, and engaging interactive areas that will include cultural displays, game booths, and a petition for the “World Wish Day Declaration.” For anyone interested in more information, Lisa Tsai can be reached at 408-838-3286.
